In a viral TikTok video that has melted hearts across the internet, one woman's post-date confession has viewers swooning.
The clip, captured by a Ring doorbell camera, shows the woman, Madi, walking up to her front door moments after being dropped off from her third date with a man named Joshua. Into the camera she, after a series of expletives, declares: "I think I'm in love." Madi, 26, spoke to Newsweek about her memory of the moment, and how her relationship with Joshua has evolved since.
"Not to be a bad influence but this was after he dropped me off from our third date," Madi captioned the video. "No one tell Joshua I posted this...still trying to play it cool." The post has racked up over 9.6 million views and 750,000 likes from viewers rooting for the couple.
Madi, based in New Jersey, told Newsweek that the feelings captured on her doorstep weren't just fleeting.
"The level of comfort to be my real unfiltered self was something I've never experienced on a first, second or even third date," she said. "He is a walking green flag."
Raised by his mother and two sisters, Madi said Joshua's respect for women made a deep impression. "He also just has such a calming peaceful energy that is addicting to be around," she added.
And the doorbell moment wasn't just meant for TikTok fame—it was actually a form of communication with her inner circle.
"I personally tell my closest friends and family everything, hence the Ring doorbell footage where I was basically talking [to] my family through the Ring, and I find that the people who care about you most will tell you the truth," she said.
For Madi, who had come out of a damaging previous relationship, the kind of peace she experienced with Joshua felt revolutionary. "My previous relationship was filled with lies and gaslighting and manipulation. It was anything but calm and peaceful. I decided I needed to protect my peace first and I was scared that falling in love again would disturb that peace that I fought so hard to regain," she said. "I'm happy to report it did the opposite."

Since that third date, the pair have now been together for nine months.
"From our first date we managed to see each other almost every single day in some capacity," Madi said. "Two weeks after [the video] he accidentally slipped up and said 'I love you'...yes, it was fast, but when you know you know."
The now-beloved Ring cam footage has also sparked conversations about modern dating, emotional safety and how to spot real connection versus red flags.
"My advice would be to be so, so careful," she said. "There is a very, very fine line between the corny 'when you know you know' and just plain love bombing. But I always lead with my heart. It has lead me into not so great experiences in my past but I have learned and grown so much from those experiences."
"It's hard when you're in it and your heart is on the line," she added. "But trust those closest to you if they tell you he's not the one."
In this case, though, it seems he just might be.
