A woman checking her door camera footage made a heartwarming discovery when she saw her Amazon delivery driver rummaging in his pockets.
Melanie Flores (@niccolemelanie), 30, from Arizona, was conducting her routine check of her Ring camera on March 7, when she noticed the driver repeatedly searching for something in his jacket. Initially finding his actions "strange," she skipped to the next video, where she saw him reading her sign offering snacks to drivers.
She later realized he had been reaching into his pocket to find a "god bless this home" sticker, which he then placed on her parcel. The video has since garnered 1.3 million views and 143,900 likes on TikTok.
"I was so overwhelmed I just cried holding the package. My daughter was sitting next to me, and I hugged her and kissed her forehead. I cried and I prayed. I looked up to thank god for showing me that he is listening .. I have been going through many health issues," Flores told Newsweek.
For Flores, who is facing significant health concerns—including uterine fibroids, a pending biopsy for colorectal cancer, and dental issues caused by severe anxiety and depression—the note felt like a reassuring sign.
The driver had delivered the parcel, which contained decorations for Flores' daughter's third birthday, between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m., braving the rain and cold to complete the delivery.
TikTok users were deeply moved by the driver's gesture.
"The fact that he sits at home and writes meaningful messages on stickers to later give out on his route makes me sob. What a beautiful human. May god bless the both of you immensely!" said one user.
"I'm not religious but this is actually so sweet," commented Nancy Perez.
"From an Amazon driver—people don't understand how much it means to us to see ppl offer us water and snacks. Rain, sleet, or snow—even 120 degrees—we always get those packages out. THANK YOU," shared another delivery driver.
Flores concluded: "I felt God in that moment. As I mentioned, with so many health issues and my husband extremely sick from diabetes, we are struggling financially and mentally. When I received that message, it felt as if God spoke through him, as if to tell me that he was listening and everything will be ok."
An Amazon spokesperson told Newsweek: "We appreciate this kind gesture from an Amazon Flex delivery partner, and we're delighted he made the customer's day. Thank you to him and the other drivers who go above and beyond to deliver to their communities every day."
