RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio
Sex offense: Richmond Park Drive West
A resident of the 444 Park apartments reported at 8 p.m. March 17 that an unknown man had exposed his penis through her Ring doorbell camera.
Officers recognized the suspect from a recent unrelated call and identified him.
A warrant was issued for his arrest. The Richmond Heights man, 49, subsequently turned himself in.
He was also wanted for questioning by Eastlake police for a similar incident in that city.
Impaired driving: Trebisky Road
Upon a traffic stop at 2 a.m. March 23, officers found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.
The Cleveland woman, 21, was arrested for OVI.
A passenger claimed ownership of a stolen gun that was found in the center console.
The East Cleveland woman, 25, was charged with receiving stolen property.
General assistance: Richmond Road
A woman reported March 21 that her three children had been picked up from the elementary school by an unknown person in a black truck.
It was quickly learned that the children had been picked up by their grandmother and taken to her home on Rushmore Drive.
Officers went to the home with the mother and confirmed that the children were OK.
The mother was found to have an active traffic warrant with Mentor police and was arrested and turned over to that agency.
Impaired driving: Richmond Road
While officers were on the scene of a serious head-on crash around 3:30 a.m. March 16, a vehicle tried to pass through the intersection at Merit Drive despite emergency vehicles blocking the roadway.
The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. A bottle of tequila was found in the car.
He said that his mother was passed out at the Five Points Bar & Grille and that he needed to get to her.
The Euclid man, 35, was subsequently arrested for OVI.
Impaired driving: Highland Road
An East Cleveland man, 68, was arrested for OVI after his vehicle was stopped for erratic driving March 21.
A baggie containing folded papers and gray powder was confiscated from his pocket.
Drug charges are pending lab results of the recovered substance.
Unruly juvenile: Harris Road
A juvenile was taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation March 22 after officers were called to a home on a report of the child threatening family members with a tree branch.
Family trouble: Dundee Drive
Officers responded to a home March 20, where a man told them that his mother has a drinking problem and that her boyfriend supports it by buying her alcohol.
He said they both sometimes give alcohol to his adult sister, which leads to ”alternative activities" in the house.
Officers confirmed that there had been no violence between family members and provided advice to help adjust the situation.
